blood platelets are colorless,non nucleated and round/oval biconvex discs....platelets secrete thromboplastin which helps in blood clotting.
Where as basophils have irregularly lobed nucleus with few granules......they produce heparin and histamine, and supplement func of mast cells wenever required......
