What is the primary difference between passive and active transport in terms of concentration gradients?

Answer :

When molecule travels from a higher concentration to a lower concentration through a concentration gradient. It is known as passive transport. eg -- diffusion
and osmosis.
Active transport refers to when molecule travels from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration against the concentration . gradient. eg - Na/K pump .
Passive - from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration down its concentration gradient.

Active - from a region of low concentration to a region of high concentration up its concentration gradien
