Vikhram Ambalal Sarabhai was born on 12 August 1919 in the city of Ahmedabad.He belongs to a rich Hindu Jain Family. His father Ambalal Sarabhai was an great industrialist and owned many textiles in Gujarat and also helped the poors.He went to Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas Vidhyalay for higher studies but matriculated from Gujarat College. He was keen interested in the field of physics.He went to England and joined St. John's College and University Of Cambridge.He also achieve awards for Natural Science in 1940. He considered as father of India's Space Programme . He also recieved Padma Bhushan in 1966 and Padma VIbhushan in 1972. His doctoral Advisor was C.V.Raman.He died on 30th december 1972 due to Heart Attack.
