According to my ncert science book, "Electrons are consumed in an electric circuit. This is wrong! We pay the electricity board or electric company to provide energy to move electrons through the electric gadgets like electric bulb, fan and engines." So, why should we save electricity?

Answer :

We should save elecrticity because the elecrtic companies do not obey obey the laws of physics that energy cannot be destroyed. Everytime you use an ammount of electricity they will charge you. It's like serving the old beer in a new bottle. Moreover if you do not switch of elecrtical appliances electricity is converted into other forms of energy some of which are not very nice - like sound (I mean noise), and a lot of heat.
