In a class test 5 marks are given for every correct answer and -2 marks are given for every wrong answer. Tina attempted all the questions and scored 30 marks. If she gave wrong answers for 10 questions, then how many correct answers she attempted?(with steps)

Let us say Tina has written correct answers to N questions.

Then total marks she has got : N * 5 - 2 * 10 = 5 N - 20  = 30

5 N = 20+30 = 50

N = 10

Tina attempted and gave 10 correct answers. there were totally 20 questions.
