Answer :

kinetic energy

potential energy

mechanical energy

heat energy

chemical energy

gravitational energy
Energy exists in different forms and is convertible from one to another. Mechanical Energy:

This is the energy that a particle has due to its position in a gravitational field (potential energy) or due to its motion (velocity) - Kinetic energy. Motion can be translational, vibrational, rotational, circular etc. The potential energy is the work done against the gravitational energy.
Sound energy is also mechanical energy. Sound waves are produced when particles in a medium vibrate. Their kinetic energy is the energy of sound wave.

Gravitational Potential energy - is the energy due to the position of a mass m in a gravitational field E at a point P. The energy is the product of potential and mass. It is work done against a gravitational force.

Electrical Energy :

This is the energy that a charged particle q at a position P has due to the electric potential P. The energy is charge multiplied by potential. This is the work done against an electrical force.

Magnetic Energy:

This is the energy that a magnetic pole p at position P has due to the magnetic potential at P. It is the multiplication of pole strength with potential. It is equal to the work done against a magnetic force.

Chemical energy:

It is the energy stored in the matter due to chemical bonds amongst atoms and molecules of the matter. Some energy is released when chemical reactions take place, as the bonds change. The energy (latent) due to the physical condition of the matter (solid, liquid or gaseous) is also included.

Heat Energy:

Energy due to possessing a thermal potential called temperature of the particle. Heat flows from a body of higher temperature to lower. Heat energy of a body is given by specific heat capacity * mass * temperature.

Energy in an Electromagnetic wave :

This is the energy of photons linked with the wave. E = h ν.  Light waves and radiations are electromagnetic waves.

Nuclear energy:

It is the potential energy of the matter possessed by the nucleus to bind the protons and neutrons together. Some of it is released when changes occur in the composition of nucleus.
