(A) the total distance travelled = 3+4 = 7km
(B) the shortest distance is through the path joining the starting and ending point.
    it will be √4²+3² = √9+16 = √25 = 5km
(C) the displacement is the shortest distance joining the starting and ending point. So it is 5km
