A man's age is three times the sum of his two son's ages. After 5 years his age will be twice the sum of his son's ages. Find the man's present age

Answer :

Answer:

let , the present age of man is x years

and sum of his two sons age is Y years.

acc. to que.

X= 3y

after 5 years there age will be :

X+5 = 2(y +5) --- equ. (1)

x +5= 2y + 15 ---- equ. (2)

now substituting the value of x= 3y from equ. 1 in equ. 2

3 y +5= 2y + 15

3y - 2y = 15 - 5

y= 10

so, x= 30 years

Thank you..
