Mean is the sum of the terms divided by the number of terms.
Mean = sum of the terms/no of terms
According to the question, there are 4 terms namely 4, 9, 10 and x respectively.
The mean is also given that is 8.
by substituting the values of m and the terms in mean formula,
⇒ 8 = (4 + 9 + 10 + x)/4
⇒ 8 = (23 + x)/4
