why is polio drops given orally while all other vaccination r given through injections ????????????

Answer :

Polio vaccines are also called OPV i.e. Oral Polio Vaccine..
Polio vaccines are given orally because
OPV produces excellent immunity in the intestine, the primary site of wild polio virus entry, which helps prevent infection with wild virus in areas where the virus is endemic..

It is also because,if it is taken orally it also provide a better and strong Immunity to body..as it's 1 drop contains....millions of Antibiotics...and...help them to fight against the Polio Viruses....
Yes, like other vaccination, polio vaccination also used to be injectable(IPV). Oral polio vaccine is a live-attenuated vaccine, produced by non-human cells at a sub-physiological temperature. OPV produces excellent immunity in the intestine, the primary site of wild poliovirus entry. IPV produces less gastrointestinal immunity than does OPV, so persons who receive IPV are more easily infected with wild poliovirus. Immunity initiated by OPV is probably lifelong.
