The radius of the sphere is doubled find the ratio of the surface area of the new sphere to the original sphere

Answer :

let previous radius=r
tsa= 4πr²
now radius=2r
tsa= 4π(2r)²=4π*4r²=16πr²

ratio between first and last=4:16
Let Original radius be r.
A/Q-  New radius will be 2r.
Ratio of T.S.A. of new of sphere to old sphere
=4π(2r)²/4πr²
=4π×4r²/4πr²
=16πr²/4πr²
=4/1
The ratio will be 4:1.
