Yes the poem makes me sad.The poem conveys the fact that people are busy in their job and daily deeds.The river Yamuna gets filled with filthy things and the taj mahal is surrounded grimy regions.The children notices the presence of bull in the banks of yamuna.The bull is surrounded by swarm of flies that reside in the place near taj mahal.
Taj mahal being one of the seven world wonder indicates that even if the king,queeen and other emperors has dead,they keep spreading love through their exquisite structure.But the surrounding people don't have concern for it Taj mahal is a great beauty to our nation.

Yes ,I agree that the poem " Taj Mahal " really makes us sad due to the people of this generation who are destroying the beauty of Taj Mahal. Today , every people of this world are busy in their work and they do not take care of the time. In this poem we find that the yamuna ganga becomes full of dirty because of us who make it dirty by throwing the waste in the" yamuna" river. The children in this poem notices - the unclean environment near taj mahal. In the olden days , The king or the queen always take care of their monuments till their death because they are more affectionate to it and they want to spread their love of their monuments even in their future also But I am sad to say that people of today's generation do not have any concern for Taj mahal even though it is one of the beauty of the world.. :)
