Customized software or custom software is a specific software application suited to one particular user or one particular organization.
A general purpose software is usable by a wide variety of users. But a custom-built software or tailor-made software is designed taking into account the requirements or specifications from the end user. It will be useful only to that organization or user. Some times, custom built software may not work on all computers. It may work only on one type of hardware environment.
Most of the defense applications or space applications softwares will be custom built softwares. They cannot be or will not be used by other people.
