So, age of his father = x + 36 years

Ten years ago, his son age = (x -10) years

Ten years ago, his father age = (x+36-10) years= (x+26 ) years

Now, 3(x-10) = (x+26)

3x-30 = x+26

3x-x = 26+30

2x = 56

x = 56/2 = 28

Now, his father age = (x+26) years = 28+26 = 54 years

his son age = x = 28 years
